Personal Note from the Executive Director
We are excited to announce that through prayerful discernment, our board members and key leadership staff have updated The Dwelling Place vision, mission, and purpose.
Vision (Big Goal): Transforming Lives Through Christ's Love.
Mission (What we do): The Dwelling Place is a Christian ministry providing healing and hope to victims of domestic abuse through supportive services and a safe place to call home.
Purpose (Why we do it): The Dwelling Place exists to break the generational cycle of abuse by equipping and empowering women through the love of Jesus Christ so they can experience lasting freedom.
You will see this language incorporated into our new website, social media channels, and communications.
The board and I are committing 2016 to establishing a firm foundation upon which to build the ministry, enabling us to serve even more women and children.
This winter has been a season of growth in many new women and children who have joined us. Tish’s story is just one of many transformations you help foster. Praise God for His moving in these precious lives.
It is humbling, in new in my role, to see how the Lord brings together so many volunteers, staff, church and community partners, individual donors and family foundations, to achieve His purposes.
My door is always open. If you have questions, concerns, ideas to share, or would like a tour of our homes, please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org or 651-221-0405. I would be honored to meet with you.
Please prayerfully consider how you can continue to help, or step in and join us in this work. I promise that Christ will do amazing things in your heart as a result.
Thank you for joining us in this work, we could not do it without your partnership, prayer, and generosity.
