As a new year begins, we can't help but be excited about the possibilities that our Lord has in store and will unfold for The Dwelling Place and all those we will serve in 2017.

If 2016 is any gauge, He will do amazing things through all of us serving together as the body of Christ.

We rejoice in the hope we have in Him!

There is something about the word “new” that opens us up and makes us willing to think and act differently.

Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen. --Ephesians 3:20-21

Like a fresh breeze, this sense of "new" bears a strong surge of vitality and energy enabling us to move forward with hopeful expectation.

Whether through a resolve to do things differently or to explore an opportunity, we are most wise to “first seek the Kingdom of God” and receive the counsel God provides as we make plans and move forward into this new year.

Our God refreshes us with His Spirit and sustains our efforts, always ready to fill us with “living water” and “abiding love.” (See Matthew 6:33; Job 12:13, Proverbs 16:9; John 7:38; 1 John 4:16)

Here at The Dwelling Place, we are rejoicing in new opportunities and open doors for two of our families:

  • A new job is opening possibilities for one woman and her family. We rejoice with her!
  • A new place to call home is on the horizon for another woman and her family ready to move forward. We rejoice with her!

We rejoice as we see the obstacles drop away and the path opened for each of these precious women and their families as they enter a new season in 2017.

Whether it is a resolution or an opportunity, may you be brave and courageous as you press forward into this “new" year with assurance of the presence and love of our Lord Jesus Christ, the comfort of the Holy Spirit, and the powerful promises of our Heavenly Father!

Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
