Esther's Place Opens

You are able to assist with the finishing touches to Esther's Place, The Dwelling Place 3rd home, that will open its doors to welcome families in need in May, 2018.

"Farther Along" - Presented by Mosaics Dance Company

All are invited to this special presentation of captivating concert dance work presented by Mosaics Dance Company in the Arden Hills sanctuary of North Heights Lutheran.  They have selected The Dwelling Place as their partner ministry for this event and invite attendees to bring dish soap, hand soap, paper towels, bathroom tissue, etc to assist The Dwelling Place with basic needs.  A free-will offering will also be taken.  Open to the public - no tickets required.  Download a poster

A Minnesota based ladies off-road club has selected The Dwelling Place to support with their holiday gathering.  Their theme:  "Lifting ladies up as high as our heels and our rigs"  will provide financial support for the women and children of The Dwelling Place.  Held at Duke's Pizza in Oakdale.

Holiday Open House "Tupperware Party" Fundraiser

Check out what is new with Tupperware for personal or gift-giving purposes and support The Dwelling Place.  This open house event will provide treats, music, and the joy of fundraising for The Dwelling Place.  All are welcome!  Come and go as your schedule permits.  

Tupperware will donate a portion of all purchase proceeds to The Dwelling Place.

Renovation and Expansion Projects - Summer/Fall 2017

We are developing new spaces for women and children to be safe, heal from trauma, and prepare for a better life.  Sign up as a volunteer (individuals and groups welcomed) to help with an upcoming project.  Skilled and unskilled workers needed.  Donations are helpful to cover costs.  Menards gift cards are also helpful.  Thanks so much!

"Bless A Mom - Bless A Child" Spring Fundraiser for The Dwelling Place

2017 Domestic Violence Homicide Memorial

Sponsored by the Minnesota Coalition for Battered Women, the Memorial was held at the St. Paul Women's Club on Summit Avenue on January 31.  In 2016, at least 18 women and 3 children/men were murdered in Minnesota due to domestic violence.  The memorial is held in connection with the release of the 2016 Femicide Report provided by the MCBW (link provided on our website.)  Monica Groves, Mission Advancement Director, attended the memorial on behalf of The Dwelling Place.

Living Christ Lutheran Church

Mission Advancement Director, Monica Groves, shared the annual "Advent by Candlelight" event with the women of Living Christ Lutheran Church in Chanhassen, MN.  They provided a wonderful afternoon with a holiday tea and a beautiful service of music and scripture.  The "Advent by Candlelight" event provided support for The Dwelling Place. Presbyterian Women of the Twin Cities Fall Gathering

Linda Wiza, Kristen Nelson, and Monica Groves from The Dwelling Place will join with the Presbyterian Women of the Twin Cities at Calvin Presbyterian Church; 177 Glendale Drive; Long Lake, MN 55356 on Saturday, October 15 to address the topic of domestic abuse and violence and to share how God is transforming lives through Christ's love at The Dwelling Place where women and children have a safe place to call home and the support that helps them move toward abuse-free living.

The Dwelling Place ministry will be in the exhibit area at ENGAGE!, the upcoming Minnesota Church Expo sponsored by the Minnesota Church Ministries Association (M.C.M.A) on October 1.  

The Dwelling Place will provide information

  • individual and church partner opportunities

On June 4th, from 10am to noon, there will be a scarf demo and exchange, with the opportunity to donate clean scarves to the women of The Dwelling Place.

Walk a Mile in Her Shoes®: The International Men’s March to Stop Rape, Sexual Assault, & Gender Violence

Join the march on May 21, 2016, to help raise awareness about domestic and sexual violence. All proceeds will be donated to the Alexandra House. The walk will take place on May 21, 2016 at 10:00 am at 2015 1st Avenue, Anoka, MN 55303. There are many ways you can participate:
